Amendment originally sought to increase funding for programs under the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration by $62.2 million. \ As amended by the Rogers substitute amendment (A015), the above was replaced with language that increases funding for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and other coastal zone management programs by $34 million.
An amendment printed in the Congressional Record of July 21, as amendment No. 6, to increase funding the National Marine Fisheries Service and coastal programs of NOAA by $62.2 million; and offsets this increase with cuts of $10 million in construction at NIST, $5 million in NOAA construction, $22 million in U.S. Court of Appeals and District Courts salaries and expenses, and $20 million in cuts in the State Department salaries and expenses and diplomatic and consular programs.
